The NDC is still drumming home their call for justice after the EC declared president Akuffo Addo as the president-elect following the 2020 general election.
Their series of street protests on Saturday 19th December 2020 hit the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis with party faithfuls demanding of the electoral commission to turn the verdict in their favor.
Recounting his ordeal at Tarkwa-Nsuaem collation center, the Western Regional Chairman for opposition NDC, Nana Toku mentioned that they will not rest unless the EC declare the right collated figures.
“We are not leaving any stone unturned in the Western Region especially in Tarkwa-Nsueam and Essikado-Ketan constituencies, we are proceeding to court to contest the results”, he said.
“Next week Tuesday we are demonstrating in Tarkwa to present our petition to the electoral commission and proceed to any level we want to go.”
Added that, “for Presidency, all of you are aware what the EC did is a total fraud. The electoral commission has pronounced the election results twice and even the one gazetted making three is full of concocted figures. What is happening in Ghana, you and I know and it’s clear that John Mahama is the President elect.”
