The National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP) has hinted of a possible increment in prices of sachet water from Monday February 15th 2021 across the length and breath of the country.
Speaking to Samuel Kojo Brace, host of the Jolly Breakfast Show on Skyy Power 93.5 FM in Takoradi, the secretary to the Western Regional branch of NASPAWAP who doubles as the vice president to the national association, Mr. Benjamin Nana Sam Brew further indicated that a bag of a sachet water will be sold for GHc3.50 instead of GHc2.50 from Monday.
Mr. Benjamin Nana Sam Brew added that the price of iced sachet water will also increased from GHS 0. 2 pesewas to GHS 0. 30 pesewas accordingly.
The price review he said has been necessitated as a result of the rising cost of production and distribution.
“Our production cost keeps increasing and we need to work with a new price to enable us to cover those costs and stay in business”. Mr. Benjamin Nana Sam Brew laments.
