MTN Ghana outdoors TwinCity Fest for the people of Sekondi-Takoradi and it environs as part of its 10th Anniversary Celebration with Sekondi Hasaacas facing off with their city rival Sekondi Eleven Wise on July 18th, 2021.
As part of programs earmarked for the celebration of the 25 Anniversary of MTN Ghana, the company had enhanced its support towards the 10th anniversary of the Twin-City Festival celebrated in the capital of the Western Region.
The enhanced package as offered by MTN Ghana provides for super clash match between the two traditional football clubs in the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis; the Sekondi Hasaacas FC, and the Sekondi Eleven Wise FC.
This game is expected to come off on 18 July 2021, at the Gyandu Park. The festivity will be climaxed with the most famous Masquerade Carnival on 31 July, 2021, and will see to the participation of residents, and natives of the city; both home and abroad. This event will be broadcasted across all social media handles of MTN Ghana to get it some mileage, especially for persons who because of COVID-19 restrictions cannot partake.
Reading the speech on behalf of the Chief Marketing Officer for MTN Ghana, Mr. Noel Kojo-Ganson at the launch of the 10th Twincity Fest in Takoradi on Wednesday 7 June, 2021, Mr. Prince Owusu Nyarko stressed that the celebration of the festival had been largely impacted by COVID-19 yet believes that shouldn’t take the shine out of it.
“This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Twin City Fest. It should have been celebrated with all the glamour it deserves had it not been for the unprecedented pandemic that hit us all. As you are aware the pandemic has drastically changed our lives and the way we do things”.
“I am happy to see that over the years, the Twin City Fest has come to successfully complement the myriad of festivals we have in this region that showcases our rich culture and customs. To us at MTN, the Twin City Fest is a fine opportunity to engage with our customers and share our innovative products and services while seeking feedback to enhance our services in a more fun and engaging way,” the statement stated.
Mr. Prince Owusu Nyarko took the opportunity to remind stakeholders and Ghanaians of the amazing rewards MTN Ghana is offering to customers as part of the 25 Anniversary, and the GHC149 million investment made to expand and modernize its network infrastructure across the country, so as to enhance the customer experience.
The Mayor for Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, Mr. Abdul Mumin-Issah assured of the assembly’s support in making the festivity a memorable one. He commended MTN for prioritizing the development of football in its 25 Anniversary.
